CLIMATE CAFÉ
CommunityJoin us for our next Climate Café on Tuesday 4th June as we explore the topic of “Community Growing”.
ACA’s free hybrid June climate café is a partnership with CFINE, and will cover Community Growing. The format is slightly different to usual cafes. We will have three 10 minute talks, then invite anyone to give a two to three minute talk about their community growing project before an organised discussion.

- Rebecca Dunn or Lucy Edwards will introduce CFINE’s project work on community growing
- Joan Lawrie from Highlands and Island Climate Hub (Thurso) will tell us about their work (which has strong focus on community growing)
- Bob Pringle (ACA) will highlight some of the agricultural/horticultural problems associated with community growing (pests and diseases)
Part 2: Audience contribution
We will hear from any member of the audience (in person or online) about their community growing project.
Part 3: Discussion
We will have a structured discussion to cover two subject:
- What are the main barriers to successful community gardening?
- How can we build a stronger network that supports community gardening projects?
