We've been busy this month. Between probably too much coffee and a lot of late nights, we shipped six new features focused on helping groups and members better represent themselves while making events more informative for attendees.
Public User Profiles #
Members can now create public profiles with a short bio and social links. This makes it easier to connect with other community members and share a bit about yourself.
Privacy is controlled with a simple toggle. If you prefer to keep your profile private, you can disable the public view at any time from your account settings.
Group Header and Background Images #
Group pages now support custom header and background images. Organizers can upload images that showcase what their community is about, making group pages more visually distinct and welcoming.
The images appear at the top of group pages and help set the tone before visitors even read the description.
Group Galleries #
Groups can now add multiple images to their pages through a gallery feature. This gives potential members a better sense of what the group does and what to expect from events.
Organizers can upload photos from past events, meetup locations, or anything else that helps convey what the community is like.
Event Guests and Speakers #
Organizers can now add guests and speakers to events with bios, roles, and social links. This helps attendees know who'll be there and makes it easier to connect with speakers or special guests.
Event Food and Drinks #
Events can now include information about available food and drinks, with support for dietary options like vegan and gluten-free. This helps attendees know what to expect and whether the event will accommodate their dietary needs.
Event Facilities #
Organizers can now display venue facilities including WiFi availability, parking options, accessibility features, and AV equipment. Sharing these details upfront helps attendees plan ahead and removes barriers to participation.
