My partner and I -- expats now immigrants from the USA since 2017 -- are hoping to meet other English speakers in the Cáceres area. A retired communications professor, progressive church pastor, publisher, and journalist, I write magazine features, academic research, journal articles, self-help manuals, and newspaper by-liners. My books deal with international (intercultural) living, communication, language, interfaith theology, gender studies, anxiety and depression, “social” politics, marketing, and the media. My partner, Russ, is also retired and working on a new cooking channel for YouTube. He's a great cook (a "good thing!"), as we like to entertain and socialize with friends. Friends refer to him as "Martha." I'm fluent in Spanish and conversant in French ... although Russ understands the languages better than he speaks them.
