Add a what3words address for precise outdoor meeting points

"Meet at the park entrance" sounds simple until you get there and realise the park has five entrances. Traditional addresses don't help much for trail heads, open fields, or that spot by the river where your running club always starts.

Three Words, One Spot #

Events on Radius now support what3words addresses. what3words divides the world into 3-metre squares and gives each one a unique three-word combination. Instead of "near the big oak tree", you can share ///filled.count.soap and everyone knows exactly where to go.

Why This Matters for Outdoor Groups #

If you run a cycling club, hiking group, or outdoor bootcamp, you've probably dealt with the "where exactly?" problem. This solves it.

Running clubs can share the exact gate at the park. Hiking groups can point to a specific trailhead, even in areas with no postcode. Outdoor fitness sessions in parks or on beaches become simple to find.

It's also handy for larger venues with multiple entrances, or any event where "the address" doesn't quite get people to the right spot.

How It Works #

When creating or editing an event, there's a new what3words field. Add a three-word address like ///filled.count.soap and it shows on your event page with a link to open in the what3words app or website.

If you don't know the what3words for your location, visit what3words.com and drop a pin on the map.

With this addition, hopefully those "where are you?" messages become a thing of the past.
